In the middle of our Fall activities, we also celebrated Addi's 3rd Birthday. When everyone tells you how fast they grow up, I think that they mean EXTREMELY fast. I can't believe that my baby is 3!! It is crazy and hard to imagine what life was like before this beautiful little spirit came into our lives. To be a parent is such an amazing gift and blessing. I am so grateful to have Addi part of our family. She has taught us so much, and helped us to enjoy the "little" and simple things in life again.She had a busy, but fun day that ended with our families in our home, celebrating her big day.
One of the funniest moments of the night was when she opened a gift from Nate and I. (But first I should say that we had just barely finished painting Addi's new bedroom, so she was used to seeing paint cans around the house...and was constantly wanting to help us paint.) We got her a big can of Tinker Toys. As soon as she finished opening the gift, she got SO excited. She had the biggest smile on her face, and then just started laughing. Then she looked up at everyone and said "It's paint!!" It was so funny! All she needs is a little bit of paint to make her happy!

That second picture of her opening the horse is hilarious! Her eyes are so big!! And that whole paint thing was so funny to hear her say that!
